Description
This request is an announcement for information/market research for planning purposes. This synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid nor does its issuance, in any way, restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center/PZIA, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico is seeking potential sources to provide: A 20-inch integrating sphere (IS) with adjustable output radiance and uniformity of better than 98.5% is needed for the imaging spectroscopy calibration laboratory. This source needs to meet the specifications stated below. 1. Sphere diameter: 20 inches 2. Port diameter: 6 inches 3. Maximum power: 20mW/cm^2-sr-mm at 400nm 120mW/cm^2-sr-mm at 900nm 60mW/cm^2-sr-mm at 1400nm 215mW/cm^2-sr-mm at 2400nm 4. Variable attenuator with computer controller: Better than 5 decades of resolution 5. Output monitor: Silicon detector and radiometer 6. Uniformity: Better than 98.5% everywhere Better than 99% for central 30% of sphere 7. Port reducer: 6-inch to 4-inch 8. Calibration with and without port reducer: Spectral radiance measurement between 300-2400nm Uniformity mapping tests at 100%, 30%, 20%, 10%, 5%, 1%, 0.5%, and 0.1% of maximum power 9. Included in the estimate are the costs of the lamps, power supplies, diffusers, detectors, 6" to 4" port reducer, calibration certificates, software, and user manual(s). 10. A 6" integrating sphere with one 2.5" port and two 1" ports. Firms responding to this announcement shall include company name, DUNS number, cage code, point of contact, address and business size using NAICS Code 334516, Size Standard 500 employees. Statement of Capabilities (SOCs), limited to 2 pages and shall demonstrate experience in providing or manufacturing of product or capability to provide products meeting the specifications listed. Statement of Capabilities may be submitted to Jayme Mortensen via E-mail to: jayme.mortensen@kirtland.af.mil. Identify your response with the corresponding program title: Sources Sought: Integrating Sphere
