- Description
- The United States Marshals Service (USMS), on behalf of the Northern California District, intends to procure services for transport and storage of 9 pieces of Fine Art. This is a market survey / sources sought for informational purposes only, and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal. Currently, there is no solicitation document available; no contract will be awarded based on this announcement; no reimbursement will be made for costs associated with responding to this announcement; and no telephone calls about this announcement will be accepted or acknowledged. Only Small businesses are to submit capability packages. Interested small businesses that are certified and qualified as a small business concern under NAICS code 712110 with a size standard of $7.0 are encouraged to submit their capability packages outlining their experience in providing the requested services. The Contractor will be responsible for taking possession of art pieces from site of seizure, as well as packaging, transporting and storing the items. The contractor shall also facilitate the sale of the art pieces. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary technical expertise, physical structure, equipment, personnel and services to transport the art work as required by the United States Marshals Service (USMS), for the Northern District of California. If at least two responsible small business concerns are determined by the Government to be capable of performing this requirement based on an evaluation of the capability packages submitted by 10:00 am EST, 23 July 2013, the requirement will be solicited as a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. If capability packages are not received from at least two responsible small business concerns by the response date, or if the Government determines that no small businesses are capable of performing this requirement based upon an evaluation of the capability packages submitted, this requirement will be solicited under full and open procedures. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code and be registered with the System For Award Management (SAM) at http://SAM.gov. Interested small business capability packages must be submitted by email to the POC identified below not later than 10:00 am EST, 23 July 2013. Contractors are responsible for all costs for submitting their capability packages. No requests for information, requests for clarification or questions concerning this notice will be provided in response to telephone calls.
