Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to ScImage, 4916 El Camino Real, Los Altos, CA 94022, for reinstallation of the PicomEnterprise software, migrate the images, and make sure all settings are carried over to the new servers. The capability requirement that makes it a sole source is this equipment is exclusive licensing agreements and proprietary data. ScImage is the only source that has the exclusive licensing agreements of this equipment to meet the needs of the government. This contract action is for one year license agreement the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received from the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to Dwight Favors, Contract Specialist at dyf3@cdc.gov by July 5, 2013. If no affirmative responses are received on or before the date stated, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), negotiations will be conducted with ScImage, 4916 El Camino Real, Los Altos, CA 94022, as the only source and a purchase order will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
