- INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to award a sole source award, under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (Dollar Threshold of $150,000) a firm fixed price award AT&T Government Solutions, 3033 Chain Bridge Road, Oakton, VA 22185-0001. The sole source award will be made under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies and Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. A Justification and Approval has been approved and process through the Small Business Administration. This requirement is intended as a sole source contract due to the licensing restrictions imposed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), only the applicable licensees have the authority to contract with the agency. NAICS CODE: The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 517210--Wireless Telecommunications Carriers (Except Satellite). INTERESTED PARTIES: All responsible sources may submit capability statement, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. To be considered, interested vendors must submit technical literature describing their capability to effectively satisfy this requirement, as well as terms and conditions and a complete price quote within 5 days of this notice, to the following electronic mail address: Lucille.Lee@cms.hhs.gov. CENTERS FOR MEDICARE AND MEDICAID REQUIREMENT: The contract will be for Distributed Antenna System (DAS) for mobile telecommunications capability. The DAS provides the agency with the capability to acquire radio across multiple spectrums and then re-broadcast those signals with the CMS Headquarters office buildings. The system is a neutral-host wireless system capable of distributing all current and future planned bandwidth frequencies from 700 MHz to 2100 MHz and its associated technology (e.g., 3G, 4G/LTE). The various wireless carriers will be required to provide radio frequency source capability, the equipment and services related thereto, and maintenance of said equipment. DISCLAIMER: This notice is not a Request for Proposals or a Solicitation, nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. This notice is not a commitment from the Government. The Government will not reimburse any bid or proposal costs as a result of this notice. No solicitation exists and requests a copy of the solicitation will be disregarded. However, any future solicitation that will be open to competition will be subsequently issued on FedBizOpps in order to permit firms to respond.
