Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Emergency Response Service Center (ERSC) on behalf of the Office of Research And Development (ORD) in RTP, NC intends o award a sole source purchase ordrer to Thermo Electron North America for the renewal of a one (1) year equipment maintenance agreement for X-Series II Inductively Coupled Mass Spectrometer - Series Number 01263C. Unity Essential Plan - Elemental ICP/MS. Features include: unlimited number of demand on-site service visits with a maximum 72-hour response. Engineer labor and travel is included. Priority status for technical support inquiries response within 2 hours. One scheduled preventive maintenance visit. Thermo Scientific supplied personal computers are covered. Factory certified replacement parts included. Software updates and notifications. Subscription to e-Support Online Technical Resources. Aslo included is the Thermo autosampler and chiller coverage. Thermo Elctron North America is the only qualified entity to provide service and support for its analytical instruments. Software upgrades and many instrument parts necessary for the instrument service and support are only available from Thermo. These instruments are critical to the function of ORD. The NAICS code used shll be:541711 under FART Part 13 nad FAR Part 12. Award must be made to Thermo Electron North America in order to maintain waranties on the various instrument pieces. The period of performance for this maintenance agreement shall be August 1, 2013 through July 30, 2014. No payments for information, capability statements, etc. will result from this announcement. This announcement also in no way requests any form of proposal or quoe.
