Description

DESCRIPTION This Pre-Solicitation Notice to inform the industry that the Veterans Affair Palo Alto announce that this is a set-aside for 100% Small Businesses who can provide consulting and comprehensive follow-up assessment services for the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) located at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, a Department of Veterans Affairs facility within the Network Contracting Office (NCO21). The NAICS code is 541611 and the size standard is $14.0 million. The Period of Performance will begin approximately Jan 1, 2014 thru Dec 31, 2014 with four option years. Short Summary of Requirement: The vendor shall provide Consultant services to VAPAHCS by providing comprehensive follow-up assessment on previous written recommendations on Life Safety, Emergency Management, Biomedical Engineering, Utilities Management, Hazardous Materials, and Security Management programs. There are approximately 50 different types of reports, plans, charts, analyses, procedures, policies, etc. The major purpose in this assessment is to prepare the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) to meet The Joint Commission (TJC) Readiness Accreditation standards. The vendor shall educate staff about ways to achieve and continually maintain compliance with the TJC standards and assess compliance with selected standards. The full scope of work will be published in the solicitation document. The vendor must possess certification and be trained in the current The Joint Commission (TJC) Standards and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 101 Life Safety Code. Other certifications may be required as per Statement of Work. All interested parties must have a Dun and Bradstreet Number (DUNS), Federal Identification Number (FID), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and be registered with the System for Award Management, https://www.sam.gov. The solicitation document is VA261-13-R-1255 and will be posted on/about 1 July 2013 to FedBizOpps (FBO) website. Interested firms should download the solicitation document and its attachments from the www.fbo.gov website. A site visit is not mandatory, however, if any vendor is interested, refer to the FAR 52.237.1 clause in the solicitation document for information on scheduling a site visit.
