- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis/RFI. The Government is neither negotiating nor calling for offers at this time. No solicitation is being issued at this time; while a formal solicitation may be issued at a later date, this notice does not commit the government to ultimately award a contract. This announcement is an expression of interest only and does not commit the Government to pay for any response or preparation cost. The Government does not intend to make an award on the basis of this sources sought synopsis. This information will be reviewed and will be used to develop the acquisition strategy and possibly a Request for Quotation. Market Research is being conducted by the 6th Contracting Squadron at MacDill Air Force Base to seek qualified contractors with the skills, knowledge, and resources required provide the requirement listed below, FL on behalf of the Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE). Description of Requirement DefenseReady Software Maintenance and Premium support provides continued support of the DefenseReady software, upgrades, technical support and system specific configuration modifications. This Sources Sought is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System is 541519 and the size standard is $25.5 Million or 150 Employees under "Exception 1". Interested organizations may submit their capabilities, and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 11:59 PM EST on 27 July 2013. Such information will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. Sources shall include in their information, a detailed capabilities statement stating their experience in providing the same or similar items described in this notice, a point of contact with phone and e-mail information, business status (i.e. 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business, etc.), business size based on NAICS 541519, and a positive statement of interest to submit a proposal. This request for information is not a commercial solicitation and the Government will not pay for any information submitted, or for any costs associated with providing the information.
