Description

THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Midwest Health Care System (VISN 23) Network Contract Activity (NCA) on behalf of the Saint Cloud VA Health Care System (VAHCS) intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for completion of general construction project 656-13-240 "Replace Revolving Door Bldg 1", at the Saint Cloud VAHCS, Saint Cloud, Minnesota. The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15 (Contracting By Negotiation) and Part 36 (Construction) and will be evaluated with procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside. Award of this project shall be in accordance with Public Law (PL) 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Health Care and Information Technology Act of 2006. The applicable NAICS Code is 236220, with the applicable size standard being $33.5 million. The Magnitude of Construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The period of performance is 180 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed to Construction. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment and construction services necessary to perform construction and placement of a new revolving door in Building 1 as per specifications and drawings. Work consists of phased demolition, removal and replacement of revolving door. Work will take place in designated area of Building 1 at the Veterans Affairs Health Care System in St. Cloud, Minnesota. All work shall be performed and completed in accordance with approved specifications and drawings which will be published with the actual solicitation. The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about July 16, 2013. Proposals are due 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. A Site visit is will be scheduled and specific information for the Site visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. NO proposers list is maintained. Specifications and Drawings for submitting a proposal will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All respondents must be registered in the SAMs database (http://www.sam.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://www.sam.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/). Offerors must be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List.
