Description
SCOPE OF WORK STA TOLEDO FENCE SAFETY / SECURITY DISCREPANCY 1.1 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT: • To repair damaged fence and barbed wire that has become a safety and security risk to the Station. 1.2 REFERENCES: • NA 1.3 DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE COMPLETED: • Repair areas of fencing that can be accessed from under the fence. • Repair or replace any poles that have become bent or broken. • Secure loose fencing to fence poles. • Repair or replace barbed wire that has become loose or broken. Barbed wire shall not be easily removed or pulled apart. • Replace or repair and broken or missing hardware. 2.1 SITE VISIT: Those who desire access to Station Toledo for bidding or work are to contact MK2 Christopher Weik. Once awarded the job, contractors are to arrange time and days for work to be accomplished after receiving notification from the U.S. Coast Guard Contracting Officer to proceed. 3.1 MILITARY REGULATION: The contractor, his employees and sub contractors shall become familiar with and obey all station regulations. 3.2 All personnel employed on the project shall keep within the limits of the work and avenues of ingress and egress. Personnel shall not enter any other areas outside the site of work unless required to do so in the performance of their duties and have obtained verbal permission from MK2 Christopher Weik or the Officer of the Day. 3.3 The contractor's equipment shall be conspicuously marked for identification. 3.4 There shall be no smoking in any Coast Guard building and only in designated areas. 4.1 WORK HOURS: The contractor shall perform all site work during the normal operation hours, 0700-1600 Mon-Fri except during federal holidays. 4.2 Any deviations from normal working hours will be discussed with MK2 Christopher Weik and agreed upon by all parties concerned. 5.1 LABORER WAGES: Quote must reflect hourly wages prescribed by the Department of Labor in the attached Wage Determination Document. 6.1 CLEAN UP OF WORK AREA: The contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all trash and debris pertaining to the contract work from the limits of government property, as well as adjacent affected areas. 6.2 Disposal of HAZ MAT shall be in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations 7.1 ACCEPTANCE OF WORK: Prior to the acceptance of work by the Coast Guard the contractor shall arrange through MK2 Christopher Weik a review of work completed to ensure work satisfaction as well as proper clean up. Enclosure (1) Fence can easily be pulled up Poles are starting to lean and are not completely secure anymore Top of fence is not attached to pole The main part of the fence just past the gate, poles are bent * over and loose in the ground. Fence is starting to come apart Easily lift fence and get under it. Several sections you can lift up and get under Barb wire can be pulled down, no tension Can take the barb wire easily out of the holders Fence not close to the ground. More loose poles and disconnected hardware.
