Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATION OR BID. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District is seeking information regarding capability and availability of potential small business contractors to manufacture a new Aerial Lift/Bucket Truck for the Fort Peck Project Office, located near Fort Peck, Montana. There is an existing aerial lift truck, 1986 GMC 7000 Reach All with 13,303 actual miles, which is intended for trade-in credit. Salient Features in Descending Order 1. Working height minimum 75 Feet 2. Jib Winch system rated at 1500 Pounds minimum 3. Driver controlled locking differential 4. Telescopic Upper and Lower Boom 5. Manual lowering system, must permit lowering in the event of complete power failure 6. Closed center hydraulic system rated at 25 GPM 7. Remote start stop located at the platform, lower control station and outrigger control station 8. Two speed throttle located at the platform, lower control station and outrigger control station 9. Aluminum Platform 36"x96"x42", capacity 2100 pounds 10. Engine Oil, fuel tank and hydraulic tank heater 11. Continuous grounding system 12. Outrigger/Boom interlock system; prevents boom operation until all outriggers are lowered The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Omaha District is seeking qualified Small Business (SB) Community Members [Small Business (SB), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Section 8(a), Veteran Owned SmallBusiness (VOSB), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), HUBZone Small Business, Small Business (SB) led teams, Small Business Partnerships and or Small Business Joint Ventures] and Other Than Small Business (OTSB) concerns that qualify under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 336120 - Heavy Duty Truck Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. This Sources Sought Notice is part of the market research activities and your responses are sought to identify potential sources that have the knowledge, skill, equipment, experience and past performance necessary to procure or manufacture the aforementioned vehicle. All interested, responsive and responsible contractors are encouraged to participate in this market research by submitting a response via e-mail to laura.a.esper@usace.army.mil no later than 10:00 am, July 9, 2013. Responses should include the company name, address, contact name and title, phone number, e-mail address, business size and classification/certification under NAICS Code 336120, CAGE Code, DUNS Number, and past performance of vender's capability to perform, to include geographic span, logistic complexity, and project size. This notice does not constitute a request for a formal quote. This notice is provided as information to the market place and is an invitation for an expression of interest and brief demonstration of qualifications to perform and deliver the anticipated requirement.
