- MODIFICATION: THIS NOTICE MODIFIES THIS SYNOPSIS FROM CLEAR CUTTING TO DANGER TREE CUTTING ONLY. THOSE CHANGES ARE REFLECTED BELOW: This is a competitive 100% Small Business Set-aside Request for Quotation (RFQ). The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 115310 with a size standard of $7.0M. This acquisition will be handled as a commercial item acquisition prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 12 and 13. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. This project consists of furnishing all necessary labor, supervision, materials, licenses, permits, insurance, transportation, and equipment necessary for danger tree removal using mechanical mowing/vegetation removal under and around the Flagstaff-Pinnacle Peak 345-kilovolt (kV) high voltage transmission and distribution line Right of Way and within all applicable Federal, state, and/or local laws, rules, ordinances and regulations, and approved principles of modern Arboriculture. Work to be performed consists of removing, and clearing away of trees, limbs, branches, and foliage to include grinding, shredding, mowing, mulching, or chopping of vegetation which interfere with and will not allow sufficient clearance for the safe and proper maintenance and operation of WAPA's transmission lines and maintained facilities/access roads. The work shall be performed in a safe manner and will not interrupt or interfere with normal power system operation. The performance period of this contract will be 100 days from the time of award. The place of performance is the Flagstaff-Pinnacle Peak Transmission Line, AZ. The solicitation, performance work statement, and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet free of charge. No CD-ROMS or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Interested parties can download the solicitation at http://www.fbo.gov on or about June 27, 2013.
