- The purpose of this announcement is to notify Industry that: 1)NAVFAC Southeast has received approval for the consolidation of the BOS and Utilities BOS requirements. 2)NAVFAC Southeast ™s Industry Forum posted under N69450-13-R-7999 has been rescheduled for Monday, August 19, 2013, from 8:00 AM EDT to 12:00 PM EDT. 3)It is the Government ™s intent to hold the site visit for N69450-13-R-7999 in GTMO on August 21st through 22nd. Specific site visit instructions are available upon request to Rebecca Jones at rebecca.m.jones@navy.mil and will be included in the Final RFP (the Final RFP will be available on or about July 19, 2013). Please email any comments or concerns regarding this schedule to Rebecca Jones at rebecca.m.jones@navy.mil. The revised Special Notice regarding the Industry Forum is as follows: The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southeast will sponsor an Industry Forum on August 19, 2013, from 8:00 AM EDT to 12:00 PM EDT, onboard Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville at the VP-30 Auditorium on Yorktown Avenue, Building 30. Map and directions are provided at: http://www.cnic.navy.mil/jacksonville/InstallationGuide/ This half-day conference is designed to collaborate with our industry partners who team with NAVFAC Southeast to provide the best facilities support contracting and safety solutions to the Navy. The forum offers a chance to participate in an interactive discussion and Q & A session regarding draft/final solicitation N69450-13-R-7999 for Base Operating Support (BOS) Services at U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (GTMO). Innovative ideas, suggestions and methods discussed during the conference could potentially be amended into the performance specifications and contract structure of the solicitation for the GTMO BOS. Who Should Attend: Any contractors interested in facilities support contracting and subcontracting opportunities with NAVFAC Southeast, specifically regarding the upcoming GTMO BOS contract. Firms are limited to three representatives per company as space is limited. Industry representatives interested in attending this event should contact Ms. Onica James at email address onica.james@navy.mil (with a copy to Ms. Rebecca Jones at email address rebecca.m.jones@navy.mil) or (904) 542-8817 no later than August 5, 2013 and provide the following information: Attendee(s) Name Company Email Address Phone Number Completed MACS Form (see below) MACS Form: In accordance with NAS Jacksonville security regulations, all prospective visitors and contractor personnel are hereby notified that in order to obtain a one-day visitor ™s pass the person must submit a MACS form. The MACS form shall be electronically forwarded to Ms. Onica James at email address onica.james@navy.mil (with a copy to Ms. Rebecca Jones at email address rebecca.m.jones@navy.mil) no later than August 5, 2013. Individuals must provide Government issued photo identification, vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and/or rental car contract. Each person requesting a temporary pass must utilize Ms. Onica James and/or Ms. Rebecca Jones as the NAVFAC Southeast civilian Government sponsor. Only persons who have been sponsored can be issued a temporary pass. Personnel and vehicle one-day passes must be obtained at the Pass and ID Office on Yorktown Avenue, Building 9. It is imperative that all conference attendees adhere to this notice in order to avoid delays in accessing the base. Also, be advised by this notice that the level of security at NAS Jacksonville may change at any time. As the level of security heightens, the amount of time required to gain access to the base also increases. NAVFAC Southeast will compile an attendee list consisting of name, company, email address and phone number. The listing will be provided to all attendees after the Industry Forum is completed. Participation in this Industry Forum is voluntary and in no way obligates the Government to award any contracts, or pay any costs associated with such participation. Please note: Ongoing source selections will not be discussed at the forum.
