Description
Vector II RFI The U.S. General Services Administration, in conjunction with The Department of Defense, is seeking to obtain industry comment and input on the technical and commercial feasibility of executing a targeted acquisition of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) as well as supporting charging infrastructure & vehicle storage management for Federal agencies of the United States of America. The Federal Government has an interest in accelerating the adoption of Plug in Electric vehicles (PEVs) within its light duty, non-tactical ground fleets located within states that have adopted the California Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) program. The ZEV program is intended to accelerate the adoption of alternative powered, zero emission-super low emission vehicles within the respective states that have adopted this standard. The Department of Defense, in conjunction with the General Services Administration (GSA) is interested in exploring its ability to achieve competitive commercial lease pricing on Plug in Electric Vehicle (PEV) sedan vehicle models by leveraging the requirements set forth by California's Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Program through the execution of a single commercial lease. Additionally, the proposed program intends to incorporate additional leasing arrangements for charging infrastructure, specific data collection regarding energy usage, and parking accommodations at Federal facilities within the targeted regions. GSA, on behalf of the Department of Defense, is seeking information from interested parties including, but not limited to: original equipment manufacturers for light duty vehicles and charging equipment, fleet management organizations, public & private sector vehicle parking & storage sources, public & private transportation & energy infrastructure developers, industry consultants in the field of commercialization electric vehicles & charging infrastructure, commercial financing firms, and entities engaged in vehicle leasing. Please consult the attached RFI for a complete description of the vision for this project. Please note, GSA's mailing address will change during the open period of this Request for Information. The applicable addresses for submission are as follows: Until July 19, 2013: Mr. Sarim Baig, Contract Specialist U.S. General Services Administration Federal Acquisition Service - QMAAA 2200 Crystal Drive, Room 10046B Arlington, VA (USA) 22202 703.605.9327 sarim.baig@gsa.gov Beginning July 20, 2013: Mr. Sarim Baig, Contract Specialist U.S. General Services Administration Federal Acquisition Service - QMAAA 1800 F Street NW Washington, DC (USA) 20405 703.605.9327 sarim.baig@gsa.gov
