- **THIS NOTICE IS HEREBY CANCELLED** THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Systems Command; Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) (AIR 2.5.1.3), Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Navmar Applied Sciences Corporation, 65 W St Rd Bldg C, Warminster, PA 18974-3225, to provide engineering services in support of AIR 4.3's Air Vehicle Competency. This contract will provide a bridge vehicle to allow continuance of services during the competitive process of awarding a follow-on contract to the current Seaport Task Order N00178-05-D-4467-M801. Navmar will provide for the following: Analysis and Technical Assessment in support of new technologies and platforms required to meet new threats and missions; Systems engineering support to transition air platform technologies and related system capabilities into Naval Air Forces across the joint mission areas; Development, characterization, testing and integration of operational chemicals, corrosion protection, composite materials, material coatings, metallic ceramic materials, nondestructive testing and inspection techniques, and, propulsion materials into Navy and Marine Corp aircraft platforms; Structural engineering and structural integrity analysis and test support for Navy and Marine Corp aircraft platforms; Engineering, technical support, and analysis necessary for the development and testing of fuel saving technologies, aerodynamics, flight dynamics, performance, store carriage and separation, and flight controls systems of Navy and Marine Corp air vehicles; Engineering and technical support of Navy and Marine Corp aircraft subsystems to include hydraulic power systems, fuels systems, environmental control and fire detection and suppression systems,, mechanical systems, and pollution prevention; Technical and administrative support of technology conferences; and, Technical and administrative support in the initial preparation and revision of technology product plans and R&D engineering program and planning data. The estimated contract value is $4.95M. The period of performance for this requirement is anticipated to be eight-months. While this notice of intent is for informational purposes only, and not a request for competitive proposals, if a party believes they can provide this support they may submit their technical capability, which shall be considered by the NAWCAD. The Government retains the right not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice.
