- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with the Mayline Company LLC, a GSA Schedule contractor, for open market services in combination with a GSA schedule buy for Mayline computer furniture. It is the FBI's intent to obtain design, installation, relocation and reconfiguration services for this computer furniture on an open market basis through the GSA Schedule holder in order to facilitate seamless procurement of computer furniture and installation and/or the reconfiguration/relocation of existing furniture. The FBI has a need to replace and/or augment existing computer furniture Bureau-wide and intends to utilize GSA Schedule 71, 'Furniture', Special Item Numbers 711-2, 711-3, 711-7, and 711-11 for this procurement action. Due to budget requirements and the ever changing mission of the FBI it is necessary to utilize existing Mayline furniture. A request for information (RFI) was done via GSA e-buy to determine if there were any GSA schedule vendors whose furniture was compatible with the existing Mayline furniture and no responses were received. In order to provide continuity of services with the purchase, delivery and installation of the required furniture, and to provide ease of scheduling, the company to provide the furniture must also be of the company that will provide the installation/reconfiguration services. Based on the market research conducted, it has been determined that both open market and schedule items can be obtained by a GSA Schedule contract holder. The Government has determined that it would be more advantageous to award to Mayline for all services required. The contract term will be for a base year with four one year options. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 337214 with a size standard of 500 employees. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement within 15 calendar days of the publication of this notice, to be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a separate competitive procurement. Requests for information and resultant responses shall be submitted directly to Nancy J. Beck, Contract Specialist at FBI, email: nancy.beck@ic.fbi.gov. No telephone requests will be honored.
