Description
NOTICE: The answers provided below are for information purposes only and are not binding on the Government. In the event of any conflict between the information contained in the responses and the solicitation, the terms and conditions contained in the solicitation will prevail. # QUESTIONS/COMMENTSANSWERS 1Ann Arbor VAMC does not have a pricing schedule attached. The Pricing Schedule for Ann Arbor didn't come through to FBO; it will be included in the final solicitation. 2Section 4.15 (1)(D) requires an integrated conserving device with the concentrator with portable gaseous system but Line Item 10 has estimates of demand pulse conserving devices that seems as though they would be higher than what is needed based on the conserving devices being integrated into the system.Estimates will be re-addressed. 3Can you give us an example of what you would consider to be a value added service?Value added service is going above and beyond what is stated in the contract. 4How many cylinders do you expect to be provided with homefill units for portability? Racks are to be provided for any patient with 4 or more cylinders. But, with the ability to fill and re-fill their own tanks, how many tanks did you think would be provided with the homefill units? We anticipate 3 cylinders/tanks for most Veterans. 5Are there any current ventilator patients? If yes, how often are they seen by an RT for care / maintenance?Yes. Quarterly. 6Contractor to furnish initial disposables for compressor setups. Could you define 'initial'? And, how are supplies ordered and delivered to the patient after the 'initial' supplies are depleted?Initial is the first set-up in the home. VA provides the disposables after the initial set-up. 7"The contractor shall attach patient education and expectations placard to all concentrators and liquid stationary systems." What is this placard?Placard is an instructional sign that will be a permanent fixture/sticker attached describing Safety, etc. as stated in Section 3.8 of the SOW. 8At least once every 90 days the contractor shall visit the patient to reassess equipment compliance, educational needs, and to perform an environmental survey. And there is to be documented patient education at setup and every 6 months. All of these visits can be done by a patient service technician. Do you anticipate requests for a clinical visit by a contractor respiratory therapist?Yes. 9Must the monthly visit to a vent patient be performed by a respiratory therapist?Yes. 10Is Contractor allowed to bill for replacement FSV if patient loses or damages a valve before the annual replacement?Yes, with prior approval. 11Do you expect the contractor to maintain an actual paper chart on each patient? Or, will you allow the contractor to scan paperwork and maintain a paperless chart?A paperless chart is acceptable. 12If homefill units represent a change from previous contracts, do you expect any resistance from the patients / caregivers? We expect minimal resistance from the Veterans. 13Will VA orders limit the number of cylinders given to a homefill patient? Yes. 14Will the VA announce the change in equipment type to the veterans prior to transition from outgoing contract?Yes. 15Supply NAICS Code 339112 should be used for this procurement. This is a services procurement and a Services NAICS Code will be used.
