- RFQ specifications/features This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number NWWG0120-13-01253 is issued as a request for quotation. This requirement is set aside for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334519 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 Employees. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the National Weather Service (NWS), specifically the Maintenance Branch (W/OPS12), has a requirement to purchase "Brand Name or Equal" AX3000 Model 85 Thin Client Terminals per the attached specifications/features and Request For Quote (RFQ). NWS-W/OPS12 is responsible for providing maintenance and logistic oversight to numerous Automated Surface Observation Systems (ASOS). ASOS utilizes Thin Client Terminals to provide logistic replacements for legacy Operator Information Devices (OIDs) and Video Display Devices (VDUs), both of which are strictly controlled by ASOS firmware. NWS- W/OPS12 has a requirement for 1,250 Thin Client Terminals over a period of five (5) years. The required Thin Client Terminals quantity per year is a minimum quantity of 1 and a maximum quantity of 250. The Period of Performance is as follows: Base Year - Date of Award - 06/30/2014; Option Year 1 - 07/01/2014 - 06/30/2015; Option Year 2 - 07/01/2015 - 06/30/2016; Option Year 3 - 07/01/16 - 06/30/2017; Option Year 4 - 07/01/2017 - 06/30/2018. Offerors proposing "equal" AX3000 Model 85 Thin Client Terminals shall provide the following: Manufacturer's Name; Address; Product Name and Catalogue Description. Offerors shall be responsible for submitting all additional information on the required products necessary for the Government to determine whether it meets the specifications/features of the brand name listed in the RFQ. The resulting purchase order shall be awarded on a firm fixed price. The award shall be made to the vendor offering the best value to the Government with the award going to the vendor exactly meeting all of the requirement specifications/features and then price. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-66.
