- Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: The Government intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price Contract for Microsoft Premier Support Services in support of the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), Assistant Chief of Staff, G-5 and G-6 located in Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) theaters (Pacific (PAC), Europe (EUR), Southwest Asia (SWA), and Korea theaters of operation). The anticipated period of performance is 30 June 2013 through 29 June 2014. There is no solicitation. Any responses to this notice are due by noon, MST, on 18 June 2013. Background: The Global Network Enterprise (GNE) is one of the Army's key programs quote mark focused on enabling the expeditionary Army to deploy worldwide seamless information architecture quote mark. The capabilities needed in the GNE right now are: near real-time visibility of all IT assets, control of those assets and protecting those assets by posturing the Army's IT quote mark info-structure quote mark (technology, people, and processes) to deal with those attacks which our adversaries have not yet invented. The Enterprise Directory Services and Authentication (EDS&A) provides an integrated global network for Joint, Coalition, interagency, intergovernmental, and others that need to collaborate across organizational boundaries. The Army is replacing the multiple AD infrastructures and migrating from a series of highly decentralized, independent network domains to an Enterprise GNE infrastructure design. The Windows 2003, 2008 and AD environment capitalizes on architectural design goals and seeks to implement standardization of processes and technologies for the GNE Land Warrior Network (LandWarNet). The Enterprise System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM) provide persistent asset visibility and reporting, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) and Army Golden Master (AGM) software deployment, Configuration Management, monitoring, and Global response for all Microsoft computing platforms. SCOPE: The Contractor shall provide technical support in the development of implementation and migration plans by providing recommendations on best business practices for CONUS and OCONUS theaters PAC, EUR, SWA, and Korea theaters of operation. The Contractor shall support Active Directory (AD), Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Exchange 2003, 2007, and 2010, Outlook client, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Enterprise Email, SCCM 2007 and later releases, SCOM 2007 and later releases, Microsoft Office SharePoint Services (MOSS) 2010 and later releases, Army Systems Management (SYSMAN), SQL 2008 and various Windows application migrations and implementations. The Government may leverage proactive credits as a means of providing field training for both on-premises and e-learning at CONUS and OCONUS sites for the current Army Global SYSMAN capability comprised of Microsoft SCCM 2007/2012 and SCOM 2007.
