The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This project involves the extensive renovation of an existing courtroom and judge's chambers. The scope of work includes demolition and installation of a new sprinkler system, alteration to the security system and fire alarm system, and installation of a new audio/visual system. Other work includes, but is not limited to, new partitions, doors, ceilings, lighting, electrical, sprinklers, and ductwork throughout. Floor finishes include carpet and refinishing existing wood floors. Wall finishes vary and will include painted drywall in office/conference area; painted drywall with stained woodwork in judge's chambers, and wood wall paneling with veneer plaster in courtroom. Millwork includes wall paneling, railings, casework, doors and frames, casings and moldings. The millwork must be installed per Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) Architectural Woodwork Standards. It is anticipated the Request For Proposal (RFP) will be posted to Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) on or about July 31, 2013 and will close on or about August 30, 2013. No other information will be available before the solicitation is posted. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, or Small Businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. All interested parties should submit a capabilities package to include business classification (i.e. SDVOSB, HUBZone, etc..), as well as examples of three projects completed within the last five years that included the work specified above that will be required under this project (including millwork installed pursuant to AWI standards), and that had a total project cost in the same range estimated for this project. Please provide a customer point of contact for each project listed. Electronic versions of your capabilities statement shall be submitted VIA E-MAIL ONLY to jennifer.johannsen@gsa.gov. Responses are due by Monday, June 17, 2013 at 5:00 PM (CST). NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey or return the data provided.
