- SMCC Industry Day Template SMCC Proposed System Approach SMCC Documentation Use and Nondisclosure Agreement DISTRIBUTION A. Approved for public release; distribution unlimited (Approval given by local Public Affairs Office) Space Modular Common Cryptography (SMCC) Program Industry Day Announcement 1. W e a re ple a s e d to invite y ou to the SMCC Program Industry Day on 9-10 July 2013 at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Cryptologic Systems Division Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. 2. The Gov e rnm e nt i ntends to present industry the opportunity to review the SMCC anticipated development and requests that industry provide specific insight to proposed capability solutions. The event will be UNCLASSIFIED and is solely for the purpose of market research. The event will include Government Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS), Federally Funded Research and Development Contractors (FFRDC) supporting the SMCC Program Office. All A&AS and FFRDC personnel have signed Non-Disclosure agreements. 3. The Government plans to release the SMCC Notional Design Parameter Document in order for industry to better provide a solid design strategy. Distribution of this document is limited to U.S. DoD contractors only and will be delivered to the requestor upon approval. To request this documentation, complete the attached request disclaimer form, scan it, and send via email to the Contract Specialists, Mr. Ivy Furnace, ivy.furnace@us.a f.m i l with a copy to the SMCC Security POC, Mr. Frank Flores, frank.flores.1@us.af.mil. 4. The specific location of the Industry Day event will be: 410 N. Frank Luke Drive Room 260 San Antonio, TX 78243-7058 An SMCC POC will be at the front entrance to Room 260 second floor, BLDG 1530 for sign-in from 8:00 am to 8:20 am CST on 9 July 2013. 5. Due to space limitations, attendance at the Industry Day Conference will be limited to a total of five (5) representatives per contractor team (prime and subcontractors). At least one representative from each participating contractor must attend the Government's briefing which will be held on the first day of the Industry Day Conference. Proof of US citizenship will be required for each participant. The Government requests that each participant submit their clearance information via SMO Code: LAIMFRXB5. If participants have questions regarding clearance submittal, please contact the SMCC Security POC, Mr. Frank Flores, (210) 925-2574, frank.flores.1@us.af.mil. Any company that wishes to attend the Industry Day Conference must convey its interest, the full names of individuals attending, their Date of Birth, and a single contractor point of contact (POC) email address no later than 12:00 PM (CT) 1 July 2013 for planning purposes. Please respond via email to the appropriate Government POCs. 6. One-on-One Sessions: Separate one-on-one meetings with contractor teams will be conducted in the afternoon of 9 July 2013 and, if needed, all day on 10 July 2013. If you are interested in scheduling a one-on-one session with the Government program office to discuss your SMCC related capabilities, please contact to the appropriate Government POCs to request a session. Time blocks will be distributed to each firm in the order the responses are received. Industry representatives must attend the Government's briefing which will be held on the first day of the Industry Day Conference and proof of US citizenship is required for these representatives. All One-on-One session materials should be unclassified and reviewed to ensure consideration of operational sensitivities. Proprietary information will be accepted and handled appropriately. Responders should indicate which portions of their response are proprietary and should mark them accordingly. Please submit all responses in the format established in the attached "Industry Template.ppt". Please save your file name as: (SMCC_Company Name_Project Title_MMDDYYYY). This template is a series of informational slides for entering details, with some slides containing guidance listed in the notes section of the related slides. Submissions should be made NLT COB 2 July 2013 by email to the appropriate Government POCs. It is recommended that each participating vendor provides their own laptop for presentations and the Government will provide a projector with a serial connection. 7. All questions a nd c on ce rns re g a rding th i s notification shall be d ir ec ted in w r i t ing to t he appropriate Government POCs. 8. W e a ppr e c iate y our inte re st i n p a rticip a t i ng in t his event a nd look fo r w a rd to y our contribution. 9. NOTE: This event does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this announcement. Participation in response to this announcement is voluntary, and participants shall not be compensated. This is a market research event for the Government to understand existing capabilities. This event does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, AFLCMC is not at this time seeking proposals, and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this event. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. All costs associated with attending this event will be solely at the responding party's expense. Not participating in this event does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor this FedBizOps website for additional information pertaining to this potential acquisition.
