Description

JOFOC THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) intends to enter into a contract with Lucigen Corporation in Middleton, WI, herein referred to as Contractor, for a BAC Library and screening system. The anticipated award date is on or about June 13, 2013. No responses were received to Sources Sought notice AG-6125-SS-13-0005, and no comparable supplies have been located from competing vendors. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. The NAICS code for this action is 325414. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government shall consider all responsible sources received within four days of this posting. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill the requirement. If no written responses are received after the publication of this notice the purchase will be awarded without further notice.
