Description
The Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to solicit the small business industry to assist the TSA in meeting its responsibilities under the Aviation Transportation Security Act and other legislation. TSA requires support services to the Intermodal Security and Training Exercise Program (I-STEP) to: 1) manage a program to deliver transportation security program management services; 2) manage a program to deliver transportation security training support services; 3) manage a program to deliver transportation security exercise management support services; and 4) Risk-Based Security Planning Solutions and Activities; identify and develop ideas for technology solutions to continuously improve the risk posture of the transportation systems serving the Nation. I-STEP provides a viable and effective capability to build and sustain security preparedness to protect American people, enhance national resilience, and identify capability gaps and needed resources. Through front-line leadership and strategic industry partnerships, I-STEP supports the TSA's Office of Security Policy and Industry Engagement (OSPIE) mission to develop risk-reducing security policies and plans for transportation operators. Working in partnership with various transportation sectors, I-STEP provides a variety of products and services that enable security partners to enhance security capabilities, build partnerships, and gain insight into transportation security. I-STEP's mission is to enable development and integration of risk-based, intelligence-driven exercises, training, and security planning solutions in collaboration with security partners to reduce risks to critical transportation infrastructure, including Freight Rail, Mass Transit, and Highway & Motor Carrier, Pipeline, and Aviation sectors.
