Description
Statement of Work (draft) All transportation, tools, and labor to provide Preventive maintenance inspections for one 400 KVA Catapiller emergency generator, UPS systems consisting of one bank of 24, 12 volt batteries, and one Fike fire suppression system. All testing and maintenance shall be conducted in accordance with the manufactures suggested maintenance schedules. Background • All equipment shall be tested at least yearly, or as recommended by the manufacture. This yearly test will target the working order of FEMA's EOP switch, which will automatically switch over to UPS battery power, and then automatically test the transfer switch. During this time when the EPO is pushed, the generator should start up and once it reaches its rpm's to produce the electrical power needed to support our emergency outlets. Our prime area of support is our 24/7 Watch Center. It must continue to operate with no clenches or interruption what so ever. The Watch Center is an emergency monitoring operation, which tracks weather conditions around the Regions area of responsibility and then some. The Watch Center is staffed to report to local, City, County, State and Federal agencies during normal and during any disasters. All their equipment must be proven to be operable during this yearly test. Scope • Contractor shall obtain all electrical and data prints to support the flow of testing, from the local permits department. A copy of the prints and its flow will be left to the owner FEMA-DHS Region 9, facility management. • Contractor shall document all areas of p.m.'s that support the tests and all maintenance inspections which include the EPO switch/button, the UPS battery system, Fire suppression system, transfer switch and load test of the generator. It is intended for the period of performance for this maintenance agreement to be 5 years. Please contact the POC's listed on this notice if interested in submitting a proposal.
