- Description
- The Bureau of the Public Debt, on behalf of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) intends to award an order to American Productivity and Quality Center (APQC) Inc. for APQC membership renewal. The period of performance will be a base period of one year, beginning on September 1, 2013, with the possibility of three one year option periods. According to market research conducted, APQC is the sole provider of the APQC membership. These unique and proprietary efforts drive process improvement and management in organizations to produce superior results. Membership in APQC provides OCC with unique access to the library and databases; access to research; participation in benchmarking studies; networking portals to enable collaboration on problems or issues; and discounts on professional training in this field. APQC is a recognized expert and source providing information, conferences and data. Having this one source saves the LSS program and other users in OCC time to search for information and saves costs for services or meetings that the various programs will use. Performance Improvements is the OCC member to APQC and its membership allows folks from OCC to use APQC's data and information. No other organization exists that has the same proprietary characteristics and features APQC offers. APQC is unique in its approach with organizations worldwide. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received no later than 2:00 PM ET on June 17, 2013. Responses shall be submitted to PSB3@bpd.treas.gov; Attention: BWatson / BCooper. Responses shall include, at a minimum, the following information: 1. The name of your company; 2. Company DUNS No.; 3. POC name and contact information; 4. The specific product(s) that your company offers that fulfills the same function as the items to be included on this order or evidence that your company is capable of providing a renewal for the specific items mentioned above; and, 5. A description of that product(s) and its overall capabilities. It is your responsibility to demonstrate how your product(s) is capable of providing the same functionality that exists with the Reuters products mentioned above. The Government will not seek additional information from your company if you fail to provide sufficient evidence of having a product cable of meeting the Government's needs. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government's Contracting Officer. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
