Description

2800 gallons of oil that meets MTU standards Category 2 oil IAW with MTU fluid and Lube Specification (see doc remarks). Oil needs to also be available in Alaska, as under SFLC direction is not recommended to mix oil types and the next purchase will be in Alaska. Shell Rotella T3 meets all of these requirements. Vendor must have ability deliver the oil and pump the oil with their pump from the pier from a bulk container. RECOMMENDED oil loaded on 04 Jun 2013 at 0730. Oil is needed to maintain proper lubrication of ship's engines. Q AND A: Q: Do you know if the oil change will require the storage tanks to be cleaned before the Shell Rotella can be stored in them or can we go down to low suction on the tank and then just add in new oil? A:No, if the tanks are at low suction, they will not have to be cleaned. Q: For Clarification, this purchase is to be delivered to Alameda, CA and the next solicitation for this oil/vessel, will be in Alaska? A: The oil will be delivered be Alameda, CA and must be available in Alaska at a later time. If Oil is not Shell Rotella T3 prove that oil is available.
