- Notice: Sole-Source Announcement The VAMC, Grand Junction Colorado, intends to negotiate a sole source under "Authorized or Required by Statute per FAR 6.302-5"with Hawk Contracting Group, LLC to provide safety repair services. 1.This is a short notice repair requirement with a period of performance of thirty (30) days. This is a serious safety hazard and delay in award may result in serious harm to the government and to those veteran patients that the Veterans Health Administration supports. 2.Statement of Work (SOW) This contract shall provide for the installation of customer provided materials for transient voltage grounding of the existing liquid O-2 tanks and equipment at the VA Medical Center, Grand Junction, Colorado. Narrative The contractor shall furnish all equipment and labor to install a grounding system in accordance with current NEC for liquid-2 tank location at VAMC Grand Junction. Materials to be provided by VAMC Grand Junction, coordination are to be done thru COR of Facilities Management Service. Contractor is responsible for all clean-up and refuse disposal throughout the construction period. General All work will be coordinated through facilities management service. The delivery date for this project shall be thirty (30) days from "Notice to Proceed". All design and work will conform to current edition of the VA Master Specifications and VA Design Standards (as published at the following site: ( www.cfm.va.gov) IBC 2009, NFPA, and NEC building codes and standards. 3.This is a sole-source award under the "Veterans benefits Act of 2003 (15U.S.C. 657f); "Authorized or required by statute" using FAR 6.302-5. The requirement is for installing a grounding system in accordance with current NEC for liquid-2 tank location at VAMC Grand Junction. Materials to be provided by VAMC Grand Junction, coordination are to be done thru COR of Facilities Management Service.
