This solicitation was originally synopsized on 12/18/2012 under number IFBACAD2013-01, titled Island Harbor Bus Stops Rehabilitation, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, ME. The solicitation will be available at https://www.fbo.gov on or about May 31, 2013. PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Description: 100% Set-aside for Small Business. Island Explorer Bus Stops Rehabilitation, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, ME. Solicitation Number: P13PS00069. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price construction contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work includes, but is not limited to: Erosion control, removal of existing paved parking areas, vegetation, ledge, and site improvements; earth moving, construction of new parking areas, bus circulation lanes, walkways, site drainage structures, dry laid stone retaining walls, fencing, bike racks, landscaping, plantings, pavement markings and signage on eight different sites. Also to be furnished by the bidder is a 12x20 wooden and steel frame bus stop shelter on one site. The eight locations are within 10 miles of one another on Mount Desert Island. The solicitation will include a Base Bid for work at five different locations and four Options for similar work. The NAICS code for this project is 238990, All Other Specialty Trades Contractors, and the small business size standard is $14.0 million. Contract duration is 262 days following notice to proceed based on a projected Notice to Proceed date of 08/04/2013. Work sites will be available September 3, 2013. All Contract Line Items awarded are required to be complete through Beneficial Occupancy No Later Than May 23, 2014. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bidders will be required to submit Certified Cost or Pricing Data with their bid. This procurement is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 14, Sealed Bids. In addition, this procurement is offered as 100% Set-aside for Small Business, and the National Park Service encourages the participation of 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, and Women-Owned Small Business enterprises. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation, Section L, clause 52.236-27 Alt 1, Site Visit (Construction).
