- Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (Pump repair) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). RFQ #M6739913Q0014 The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-66 April 1, 2013. This is a restricted purchase set-aside for 100% Small Business Concerns. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 238210. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) for this order is 7629. The small business size standard is $14 million. The Federal Supply Classification (FSC) for this order is 6150. The following commercial items are requested in this solicitation; CLIN 0001 “ Quantity: 2, pump repair; EXISTING EQUIPMENT: two (2) Pumps, 100 HP, 1800 RPM, Myers Model 4VLX100M4-43 Serial #S00124062 and S0012463. The Contractor shall perform incoming electrical testing Perform Mechanical fit inspection and report electrical and mechanical findings to the Government prior to start of rebuild. Once the Government accepts these finding the rebuilding will be authorizes Remove motor from pump and steam clean all parts Steam clean and bake rotor Cut, core test and burnout stator windings Strip and core test after burnout cycle to check for loss of efficiency and hot spots Complete rewind of the stator, using class H insulation and inverter rated wire Vacuum pressure impregnate winding, VPI process of newly wound stator Cure newly wound stator and reinstall into pump Furnish and install both bearings Furnish and install new cord and cap assembly with 35 ft. of cable Furnish and install new O-rings Assemble, test and paint unit Note: No additional work such as machine work, balance, winding sensors, UL labeling, or any other components or services will be done without prior approvals The vendor shall include: Statement of Work, Parts, Labor, and all pertaining cost. Site Visit: A site visit will be conducted on 17 May 2013 at 10:00 AM PST. Interested vendors who will attend must notify the point of contact listed below no later than 3:00 PM PDT 15 May 2013.
