Description

This fourth notice is posted on May 2, 2013 as a follow-up to the initial notice which was posted on November 30, 2012, a second notice which was posted on January 24, 2013 and a third notice which was posted on March 28, 2013. In the initial notice the government indicated that the government has determined that it may not be in the best interest of the government to exercise option year 4 of the current ITSS contract FERC-08-C-80148 with General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT); consequently, the government began drafting the acquisition strategy and requirements documents to recompete the current ITSS contract with performance of the new contract beginning on October 1, 2013. In the third notice the government indicated that in light of the sequester the government was considering exercising the option for the current ITSS contract FERC-08-C-80148 with GDIT instead of recompeting the said current contract one year ahead of schedule. This notice is to inform industry that the government intends to exercise the option for the current ITSS contract FERC-08-C-80148 with GDIT instead of recompeting the said current contract one year ahead of schedule. Consequently, this procurement action which is known as FERC-13-R-0019 for Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) is cancelled. Whereas FERC-08-C-80148 is due to expire on September 30, 2014, the government intends to recompete the current FERC-08-C-80148 contract during FY14. No additional information regarding the FY14 recompete is available at this time. The government intends to publicize information regarding the FY14 recompete consistent with federal acquisition regulations.
