Description
Signed Synopsis. This is a proposed sole source acquisition to ABIOMED for the purchase of Impella 2.5 Pump ( 1 QTY), for the Keesler Medical Center at Keesler Air Force Base (KAFB), Mississippi. The solicitation will be posted to http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ on or about 3 May 2013. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 339112 and the size standard is 500 employees. The government anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract as a result of the solicitation. The solicitation may be downloaded from FedBizOpps, since copies of the solicitation will not be available for mailing. All prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award of contract with any DoD agency. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.sam.gov/. Any interested party may submit a proposal which will be considered by this organization. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received before the offer due date specified on the solicitation/RFQ will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
