- THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR OFFERS OR PROPOSALS. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INTEREST FIRMS OR CONTRACTORS TO ADVISE THEM OF THE UPCOMING SOLICITATION. THIS NOTICE DOES NOT REPRESENT A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION OR AWARD A CONTRACT. INFORMATION RECEIVED WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE THE AVAILABILITY OF TECHNICALLY CAPABLE AND OTHERWISE RESPONSIBLE FIRMS THAT WOULD BE INTERESTED IN SUBMITTING OFFERS FOR THIS ANTICIPATED SOLICITATION. The General Services Administration, Public Building Service is seeking sources capable of performing Elevator Modernization on two (2) existing Hydraulic Freight Elevators; the following work will be performed at the U.S. Post Office/ Federal Courthouse, 600 W. Capitol Ave., and the Little Rock Federal Office Building, 700 W. Capitol Ave, Little Rock, AR. The scope of work consists of but is not strictly limited to; modernize two (2) existing hydraulic Freight Elevators. Provide new: Hydraulic lifting systems, solid state microprocessor controls, car frame, cab, doors and all associated work to provide two complete new elevators. All work performed under this contract shall meet or exceed the current ASME-A17.1 Elevator Code and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS). The estimated cost range for all work is between $100,000 and $200,000.00. This procurement will be Set Aside for Small Businesses in accordance with FAR Part 19. Work to be performed under the contemplated contract will be within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 238990 with a size standard of $14 Million. All offerors are advised that this project may be revised or canceled at any time during the pre-solicitation synopsis, solicitation, selection, evaluation, negotiation, and final award. For the purposes of FAR 52.236-1, Performance of Work by the Contractor; the contractor selected for the award shall perform 90 percent of the work. The solicitation will be available on or about May 15, 2013. Access to the project specifications will be made to those vendors who submit a request via FBO Explicit Access request. Once reviewed the contract specialist will authorize the vendor access and an email will be sent to the vendor notifying them of their approval to download the documents.
