- This is notice of award for a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Office of Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Laboratory Services, Atlanta, GA, intends to solicit and enter into a contract with The Joint Commission for SIRAS courses, website maintenance, and support of the SIRAs courses. The Government's requirements are: 1) host the SIRAS course on their website as a free, web-based course conferring 2 CEs to those who complete the course. ; 2) host the specimen videos on their website and posts them on YouTube or other appropriate social media 3) promote the course through advertising on their website ; 4) must have a web-based course detailing strategies for improving rapid influenza testing in ambulatory settings developed, currently being offered, and accessible including CE credits; 5) must also provide a working website and computer personnel sufficient to post, host and update a web-based course and track data about participants, and to offer and issue Ces; 6) must provide statistical expertise sufficient to analyze data about course participation and evaluation of impact. The Government intends to solicit, negotiate and award to only one contractor using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to the authority of USC 2304(c)(1) pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(2)(i), supplies or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the needs of the agency. A determination not to compete this requirement is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations. Interested parties who feel they possess the capabilities to provide the information described above should submit a capabilities statement demonstrating their ability to Rotravius Burch by email at rburch1@cdc.gov. No solicitation is available and telephone requests for information will not be honored. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government shall consider all responses received within fifteen (15) days of this posting. A determination by the CDC not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notification, is solely within the discretion of the government.
