Description
Base Access Affidavit Eglin AFB Memo letter--Base access Completed solicitation package 1. Statement of Objectives: The Contractor shall perform all construction services for the subject project located at Building 101, Eglin AFB, Florida. It is the contractor's responsibility to ensure the construction meets all applicable current codes, regulations, guidelines, manuals, acts, laws, standards, laws, Unified Facilities Criterion, Engineering Technical Letters and Air Force Instructions. The project requirements are: a. Remove steel components and finish as indicated by pictures located in Attachment A. Removal includes transportation and disposal at site off of Eglin AFB. a. Remove steel panels, steel bars, surrounding grout, and miscellaneous steel components. b. Install continuous steel plate(s) as indicated or fill entire void with concrete. c. Fill void with 3000 psi concrete. d. Cut pipes. e. Remove compressor supports from concrete. f. Grout and finish all work in previous parts level with existing floor. g. Remove and dispose of pneumatic lift. b. Remove electrical a. Remove wiring (4 #10's) and conduit (3/4" rigid steel conduit) between existing 5 hp motor and existing panel board "PP3A". b. Existing wiring and conduit (referenced above) to be removed is routed at approximately 20 ft above finished grade. e. Total length of conduit to be removed is approximately 150 ft; approximately 100 ft of the conduit length is at approximately 20 ft above finished grade and the other 50 ft is routed vertical on existing walls. d. Remove wall mounted disconnect switch (rated 208V-30A-3P), magnetic starter (rated for 208V and 5 hp), and wall mounted push-button station. e. Location of required electrical work is shown on attached "Elect. Sketch #1" located in Attachment B. c. Consider, conduct and schedule construction to accommodate water, sewer, electrical, and other utilities that may be present in the construction area. Any scheduled outage requires 2 week notification. d. Non-work areas and utilities not modified should be protected from damage. Any damage will be repaired to pre-project condition. e. This statement of objective is only a guide. The goal and intent of these objectives is to provide a usable product. Further clarification will be provided to the contractor at the pre-proposal conference. 2- SUBMITTALS: The contractor will submit the following a project schedule, concrete mix design, and draft AF Form 1354 for Civil Engineering evaluation and approval. 3. PREPROPOSAL/PREDESIGN CONFERENCE: The Contractor shall contact the Contracting Officer to establish a conference date and site visit within 10 days of contract award. 4. REVIEW PERIOD: The 96th Civil Engineer Group will have a one week review period for each submittal. No Review meetings are required. 5. COMPLETION DATE: All work under this contract shall be completed no later than 30 days after NTP. 6. ACCESS: Contractor access to the site will not impede operational activities nearby. Please contact the Contracting Officer or his/her representative for more information. Additional Requirements: The period of performance is 30 days Contractor should have 3 years experience in similar work. Concrete Field Testing Technician - ACI Grade I Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - ACI Grade II Concrete Construction Inspector - ACI Level II Foreman or Lead Journeyman of the flatwork finishing crew - Similar qualification for ACI Concrete Flatwork Technician/Finisher or equal, with written documentation Electrical work is required to be supervised by a master electrician. IMPORTANT DATES: 15 May 2013. Pre-solicitation site visit. From 1000-1100 a.m. Bldg 101 10 May 2013. Base access Memo letter and Affidavit are due to Richard Bend 3 June 2013.
