- SWJM Request for Information (RFI) 1.1 The U.S. Forest Service, Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) and Valles Caldera National Preserve (VCNP) is seeking information with regard to the needs of forest industry to facilitate development of a Request For Proposal(RFP) for the first ten-year Stewardship Contract designed to increase resilience and restore function to fire-dependent forest ecosystems in the Southwest Jemez Mountains, New Mexico. 1.2 THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This notice is a mechanism for obtaining feedback from industry in regard to the general requirements stated below. THIS IS NOT A SYNOPSIS FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Rather, it is an opportunity for interested parties/individuals to provide input and help shape the development of a RFP. It also serves as a market research tool to determine pertinent information prior to the issuance of a solicitation. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for any information received from potential offerors as a result of this RFI. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor the site for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
