- Description
- The U.S. Forest Service, Midewin National Tall Grass Prairie is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) Concern Eligible Under the Women-Owned Small business Program. The estimated value of this procurement is less than $30,000. The small business size standard is $4Million. The acquisition is for a contractor to completely remove trees, saplings, shrubs and downed limbs, shrubs and trees. This would include all standing woody vegetation with the exception of seedlings. All woody vegetation within the size classes will be removed from the site. The work will be performed in Wilmington, IL. The performance period is expected to begin in August, 2013. Work will include, but is not limited to: mobilization, labor, supervision, expertise, services, equipment, tools, supplies, transportation, incidentals, permits (when and if required), as well as coordination with utilities. NAICS: 561730, the size standard is $4Million. The acquisition is expected to be issued under full and open competition procedures. However, in accordance with FAR 19.1506, if your firm is EDWOSB and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by email to rkmanning@fs.fed.us or by fax at (812)279-3423. In your response please include: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope. Please include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers, Federal Tax ID and DUNS numbers. At least two and no more than four references are requested. Your response is required by 3:00p.m.est, May 6, 2013. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on an EDWOSB Concern Eligible Under the Women-Owned Small business Program set aside. Contractors are reminded that should this acquisition become a Woman-Owned Small Business Concern Eligible Under the Women-Owned Small business Program, FAR 52.219-30 Notice of Woman-Owned Small Business Concern Eligible Under the Women-Owned Small business Program Set-Aside will apply. FAR 52.219-30 requires that at least 50 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance be spent for employees of the concern. Failure to submit all information requested may result in a Small Business Set-Aside acquisition. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a Woman-Owned Small Business Concern Eligible Under the Women-Owned Small business Program or a Small Business set aside will be posted on FEDBIZOPS.
