Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This is for a market survey only; therefore, no requirement exists so do not request a copy of the solicitation. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis and no contract shall be awarded from this synopsis. The U.S. Air Force, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC has been tasked to identify sources and market conditions for the purchase of Aircraft Sunshade Repair Services. The proposed project will be a Firm-Fixed Priced contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of members of both the Small Business Community, to include Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) to compete and perform a Firm-Fixed Price contract to provide a Aircraft Sunshade Shelter Repair Services. Currently Seymour Johnson AFB has an All Points International (API) sunshade shelter that is used to house aircraft. The sunshade dimension is 70' Wide x 70' Long x 34'10" Center Height x 19' Side Wall. 24 ounce cover. The cover is made of a continuous fabric panel that covers the entire shelters length and width. The frame members is made of 24 inch heavy wall galvanized tubular steel 4-chord truss with a continuous z-bar web. Tubing is made of standard ASTM-A500, 1.90" X.095 Flo-Coat galvanized tubular steel with 50,000 PSI yield/ 48,000 PSI tensile strength. Side Cables have high visibility Protection, sleeves with reflexive tape. Anchors for concrete foundation. All Weld Joints Coated for Corrosion Protection. The work is to be accomplished on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. The contractor shall: 1. Replace one (1) broken strap with a new one. 2. Repair (1) broken pipe. 3. Install two (2) new tie down straps. 4. Pull cover over the ends and readjusting the cover. 5. Furnish all labor, tools, parts, materials, transportation and training necessary to repair aircraft shelter. In addition to the above, responses to this synopsis shall include a capabilities statement about the company. All submittals received will be reviewed for informational purposes.
