- Description
- The United States Special Operations Command, Technology Applications Contracting Office is seeking information on potential sources concerning a commercial ruggedized tactical computer system which will satisfy the integration, interface and processing requirements as detailed below. The independent computer system will be integrated into a rotary wing aircraft equipped with the Rockwell Collins Common Avionics Architecture System. It is anticipated that FAR Part 12 procedures will be used. Threshold Requirements i. Military standard (MIL-DTL-38999 or similar) connectors ii. Weight requirement: no more than 11.0 lbs iii. Physical dimension: no more than 300 in3 iv. Physical mounting capability suitable for installation onto pallet or plate meeting aviation structural requirements v. Interface Control Document (ICD), Mechanical and Electrical available for review vi. Capability to run on 28VDC vii. Capability to be powered on and off via a discrete wire viii. Capability to meet MIL-STD Environmental and Electrical Interface requirements (reference MIL-STD 810 & MIL-STD 461) ix. Minimum specifications: a. 2.2 GHz Multicore or compatible processor or better b. 4 GB RAM c. 256 GB Internal Solid State Drive d. Ethernet Interface e. SMPTE-292 Video Output x 2 f. SMPTE-292 Video Input x 1 g. Analog Audio Output h. Analog Audio Input i. Embedded 10 port Managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch i. Auto-MDI/MDIX, Auto-Negotiation, Auto-Detect; Speed Auto-Sensing, Auto-Crossover ii. IEEE 802.3 Standards Compliance iii. Web GUI or CLI Management j. Lynix or Windows Operating System x. No external cooling should be required (fan tray or similar) xi. Minimal Air Worthiness qualifications required Desired Specifications i. Removable/Flash Media • The component must have some source of removable storage device. This would include, but would not be limited to: SD Card slot, removable hard drive, etc. • Removable/Flash Media Zeroize ii. Environmentally Qualified with documentation MIL-STD-810G (810F is acceptable, 810G is preferred) iii. Electrical Interference Qualified with documentation MIL-STD-461F (461E is acceptable; 461F is preferred) iv. No Display is preferred v. Additional external high speed serial interfaces. This would include but would not be limited to: USB, firewire, esata, etc. Recommended Response To allow for clear, concise responses, please provide no more than two pages of clarification/explanation of the component to include historical usage, if any. This portion of the response should clarify how the component meets all the above requirements. In addition, please provide the mechanical and electrical ICDs, to include electrical pin outs, as well as any documentation showing test results from qualification testing. ICDs and test results do not count towards the two page summary of the component. Information Exchange Meetings The Government does not intend to host an information exchange meeting to discuss this RFI with interested potential respondents. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.
