- The Air Force is seeking sources for a potential 100 percent set-aside for Small Business, HUBZone, Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. IF ADEQUATE RESPONSES ARE NOT RECEIVED, THE ACQUISTION MAY BE SOLICITED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. This is a sources sought for planning purposes only. Project No# 100009, Repair Fire Code Deficiencies, Facility 20489. Replace the Fire Alarm System (FAS) throughout Facilities 20484, 20487, 20489, and the Museum Theater in the National Museum of the US Air Force complex. Provide a new, fully addressable, FAS with voice evacuation and Mass Notification System. The new system shall comply with NFPA101, NFPA 70, NFPA 72, UFC 3-600-01, and UFC 4-021-01. The new FAS will be networked and will be fully compatible with the existing Simplex fire panel in Facility 20494. New Knox Boxes will be provided at the south east doors of Facility 20487 and an additional Knox Box is to be provided at the loading area of Building 489. The new fire alarm system shall be phased to allow the new system to be installed, operable and fully tested prior to demolition of any existing system. The new FAS will have a new graphic display in the museum's main security office that will communicate with the WPAFB Fire Dispatch in facility 30146 using with IP communication. The Air Force intends to award a contract with a 150 day period of performance. The estimated magnitude of the entire contract is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. NAICS Code : 238210 Size Standard: $14M Prime contractors who are Small Business, HUBZone, EDWOSB or SDVOSB and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation are highly encouraged to submit the following by 10:00 a.m. EST on 1 May 2013: Responses should include the following: (1) a positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) date of HUBZone certification; and/or (3) documentation of SDVOSB status; and/or (4) EDWOSB must provide information IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation 19.1503; and (5) listing of capabilities and/or experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact with their phone numbers, and an explanation of the relevancy of the project (limit to 5 single-sided pages); (6) documentation from surety or their agent of your capability to be bonded for bid, performance and payment bonds for this project; (7) If you are considering a joint venture that has not been formalized, you will need to specify the firm(s) you intend to partner with and how you plan to officially form the joint venture. Failure to submit all information requested would result in a contractor being considered "non-responsive" in this requirement. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a set-aside or an unrestricted basis will be posted as a modification in Federal Business Opportunities. Be advised that all correspondence sent via e-mail shall contain a subject line that reads, "PROJECT ZHTV100009". If sending attachments by e-mail, ensure only.pdf,.doc, or.xls documents are sent.
