Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This announcement constitutes a Source Sought Synopsis. This is not a Request for Proposal and will be used to identify Small Business firms for the purpose of determining how the solicitation will be advertised. This sources sought announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District is hereby soliciting information about potential sources from Small Business concerns interested in and capable of supplying and delivering herbicides, surfactants, and other adjuvants to our facilities in Palatka, FL. The herbicide shall be delivered in seven business days. The Contractor shall be able to supply the following aquatic labeled herbicides in 2.5 gal containers: 2,4 Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid-liquid, Diquat dibromide, Glyphosate, Penoxsulam, Imazapyr, Imazamox, and Flumioxazin. The Contractor shall be able to supply methalated seed oil surfactants, silicone surfactants, and other adjuvants and spray conditioners. Please provide a Statement of Capability (SOC) stating your capabilities, experience, and knowledge required to perform the specified type of work. This SOC should be a brief description of your company's capabilities in relation to the supplies listed above. Contractors shall provide brief references of jobs they have performed that are similar size and scope. If we do not receive an adequate number of qualified respondents (i.e., two or more responsible firms), the solicitation shall be issued on an unrestricted basis and all firms regardless of size shall be eligible and encouraged to compete for this project. REMEMBER: DO NOT REGISTER AS A PLAN HOLDER AT THIS TIME. THE FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WILL CARRY A DIFFERENT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER AND REGISTRATION WILL BE REQUIRED AT THAT TIME. Receipt of potential offerors SOC shall be no later than fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this notice by 4:00 pm. Responses to this sources sought may be faxed, to the attention of John Vohlken (904) 232-2749, mailed to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division, 701 San Marco Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32207; or sent via email to John.D.Vohlken@usace.army.mil. The submission of this information is for planning purposes only. The Jacksonville District Corps of Engineers does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Request for Information nor otherwise pay for the information solicited. DO NOT SUBMIT PROPRIETARY AND/OR BUSINESS CONFIDENTIAL DATA. In order to receive notification of any changes to this request for information, interested vendors must REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION on the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. If you are not registered, the Government is not responsible with providing you with notification of any changes to this notice. Firms must be registered in the SAM database in order to be eligible to receive an award from any solicitation. Information on SAM registration and annual confirmation requirements may be obtained via the Internet at http://www.sam.gov. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Department of Defense SAM database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make an offeror ineligible for award. All responsible sources may submit information which will be considered. The NAICS Code is 325320 (Pesticide and Other Agricultural Chemical Manufacturing) and the Small Business size standard is 500 Employees.
