- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This combined synopsis/solicitation will be posted on NECO/FBO satisfies the requirement of FAR 5.201(b)(1)(i). (http://www.neco.nayy.mil) and www.fbo.gov. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302 FOR THIS PROCUREMENT ACTION. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETETIVE QUOTES OR PROPOSALS. INTERESTED PARTIES MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT, OR SUBMIT QUOTES OR PROPOSALS AND CAPABILITY STATEMENTS. HOWEVER, ALL QUOTES OR PROPOSALS RECEIVED BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS RFQ WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE GOVERNMENT. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (PHD), Port Hueneme, CA intends to procure with a Sole Source, for the following items: 1.Case, Aluminum Alloy, P/N: 266LA2J18P36F2N, QTY 6 2.Launch Control Units (LCU) Maintenance Assistance Module (MAM) Case, P/N: 32-135110, QTY 10 3.Launch Control Units (LCU) Maintenance Assistance Module (MAM) Case, P/N: 32-135109-1, QTY 14 4.Launch Control Units (LCU) Maintenance Assistance Module (MAM) Case, P/N: 32-135109, QTY 35 The Government reserves the right to award on an all or nothing, or partial basis. The NAICS code is: 332439 and the size standard: 500 Employees. This combined synopsis/solicitation is a SOLE SOURCE to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) due to Proprietary rights. The contract type will be a Firm, Fixed Price. This requirement is SOLE SOURCED to: Zero Manufacturing, Inc., as the only source that can provide these Cases which will be used to store Maintenance Assistance Modules (MAM) and VGI equipment/housing of the Fault Isolation Boxes (FIB) for all of the MK 680 Combined Missile Test Set (CMTS) in support of MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS). Zero Manufacturing, Inc., is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of these cases and the only source that can provide the necessary configurations to support this Weapons System due to form, fit and functional specifications required. This OEM has proprietary rights to these specific cases and they are the only known source that can meet the Governments required specifications. Any firms believing that they can provide the material may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm s ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the material without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
