Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is VA240-13-Q-0088 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-55. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811412 with a small business size standard of $14.00 million in annual receipts. This requirement is a [Small Business] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2013-04-17 at 12:00 Noon Eastern Standard Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. See Delivery Schedule within solicitation for shipping information. Specific Tasks: Potential contractor will provide a preventative maintenance program for the Aladdin Temp Rite III Convect Rite Cook Chill System throughout the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Bedford located at 200 Springs Road Bedford, Massachusetts 01730. Preventative maintenance is to be completed on all Aladdin Temp Rite III Convect Rite Cook Chill System docking stations, carts, and outside condensers in Bldgs. 2, 3, 4, 62, and 78. Services for Monthly PMs to include: Check all docking stations for equipment deficiency and make necessary repairs if needed Tighten electrical equipment Ensure proper docking Check for air gaps and adjust as needed Check all door latches and plungers for proper operation and repair if needed Check all dock and cart gaskets for proper operation and replace if needed Check all wheels and grease if needed Check retherm cycles and heating elements for proper operation Ensure all electrical receptacles are functioning and intact repair/replace if necessary Check digital controls and ensure proper programming Services for Yearly PMs to include: Check and clean all condensers Tighten all electrical equipment and disconnects on the units Wash coils on units with coil cleaner Check all PSI controls and hot gas bypass solenoid valves for deficiencies Contractor will provide all costs for repair/replacement for worn components or failed parts to be included in this contract Contractor will be responsible for all travel and labor expenses. Contractor will also be responsible for any and all emergency parts and services to be determined by the vendor Any services that are completed at the VAMC Bedford must be submitted in a report to the COR The Veterans Affairs Medical Center Bedford, Massachusetts requires that the following services meet or exceed the following periods of performance: LI 001, Base Period: Date of award - September 30, 2013: Preventive maintenance for Aladdin Temp Rite III Convect Rite Cook Chill System LI 002, Option Year 1: October 1, 2012 - September 30, 2013Preventive maintenance for Aladdin Temp Rite III Convect Rite Cook Chill System LI 003, Option Year 2: October 1, 2013 - September 30, 2014Preventive maintenance for Aladdin Temp Rite III Convect Rite Cook Chill System LI 004, Option Year 3: October 1, 2014 - September 30, 2015Preventive maintenance for Aladdin Temp Rite III Convect Rite Cook Chill System LI 005, Option Year 4: October 1, 2015 - September 30, 2016Preventive maintenance for Aladdin Temp Rite III Convect Rite Cook Chill System ***Question Submission: Interested offerors must submit any questions concerning the solicitation at the earliest time possible to enable the Buyer to respond. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. The Service Area Office East Pittsburgh, PA is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids.
