Description
This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs 646 is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for Small Businesses. The solicitation number is VA244-13-Q-0734 and it is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code is 811219 Successful offer will be the one that provides the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. The award will be for 12 months of service (base year) and four option years. The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System 646 has a requirement for the services listed below. All work will be performed at our facilities located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. All communication regarding quotes, questions, etc. shall be submitted by email to John Barton (Johnny.Barton@VA.Gov). Phone calls will not be accepted. Quotes are due by 4/25/13 at 09:00 A.M. The request seeks a company who can continue optimum performance and reliability of the sterilizer by providing quarterly visits (4 times a year) for preventive inspection, maintenance and repair. The preventive maintenance will cover all labor for equipment inspection, adjustment, lubrication, installation of replacement parts, testing and emergency callbacks. Labor for repair calls between preventive maintenance inspections which are result of equipment failure will be covered under this contract. Contractor will schedule all preventive maintenance with the Biomedical Engineering Department. Contractor will respond to repair request either in person or via phone call to the Biomedical Engineering Department contact personnel within 2 business days during normal business hours. Contractor will provide to the Biomedical Engineering Department a hard or electronic copy of work performed. All employees' working on the Sterilizer must be factory trained service representatives. ?
