Description
The following is a list of questions and answers presented at the Pre-Proposal conference on 04/02/2013. Question: What type of charger connector is required? ANSWER: The connector is provided by the ship. Question: What type of quality is required? ANSWER: Proof they can meet the requirements. If the 224 s to meet PD 133 they could use two 24 volts. The battery company listed has their own knowledge of how to meet their requirements. Question: Is this a Level 1 contract? ANSWER: No Question: Is the due date April 22, 2013? ANSWER: The due date is April 28, 2013. Please make sure you enter your questions prior to the closing date of the solicitation. Please keep in mind the size of your proposal being sent via email, due to the limits we can accept. Question: Is there a made in the USA preference? ANSWER: Yes. QUESTION: What was the existing equipment? ANSWER: 4500 lb currently manufactured by Raymond. Industry has gone from DC to AC. Clarifications on Technically Acceptable by Rick Fry 10:09a.m. "Under technically acceptable criteria you must quote directly with the requirements in the solicitation. If you propose something separately you will be found technically unacceptable; however you may provide the government with one quote based on the current requirements and also quote an alternative tehcnical proposal to the government in addition. The government reserves the right to review offers proposed outside of the requirements in the solicitation if they find it suitable, at which point this will be proposed to all offers to quote in accordance with this potential new change." Question:Did Raymond make this application specifically for you all? ANSWER: No. No one makes the 6,000 lb truck. Plus it has the AC controls, where as the current truck uses DC. Question: What about the ground bearing pressure weight and the total weight? ANSWER: You need both because you need the deck pressure within limits and the total weight because you have to take it up and down the elevators. Question: Do you have any IP ratings? ANSWER: Yes. Salt water and electro magnetic interference (EMI). QUESTION: Will you list it as public ratings? ANSWER: No. We do not have an IP rating to release. There are standards on the salt fog and standards on the EMI.
