Description

REDUCTION GEAR REPAIRS FOR THE FOR THE U.S. COAST GUARD CUTTER RAZORBILL The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, intends to issue a purchase order with ZF MARINE LLC for the procurement of labor and materials to complete bearing failure on number two (2) reduction gear. Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. ZF MARINE is the manufacturer of the reduction gears onboard the USCGC Razorbill. ZF Marine is the only known source for parts and labor for repair to ZF Marine reduction gears. The requirement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition procedures per FAR 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the government will consider all information received within two (2) calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A Determination by the Government not to compete as a result of information received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
