- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award firm fixed price contract for the supply of Type 6 Top Course asphalt for the Federal Correctional Institution, Ray Brook, New York. Award will be made to the responsible quoter who submits the most advantageous offer to the government. The estimated number of tons is 1,750 of Type 6 Top Course asphalt and 2500 gallons of asphalt binding application. This solicitation will be available on or about March 27, 2013 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All information concerning this acquisition will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This solicitation has the North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code of 324121, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), which incorporated the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.SAM.gov. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about April 10, 2013; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation has been set aside for Small Business Concerns.
