- The DISA PNVC Project Office invites you to provide information regarding your company's capabilities to provide a transportable ruggedized High-altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) protected case. The purpose of this RFI is to gather market research information and establish a qualified vendor list for use by the DISA PNVC Project Office. The information received will help to identify vendors capable of providing services for the design, manufacturing, and production of the PNVC BBK. Identifying solution providers will allow the Government to finalize acquisition plans and will support the release of a formal solicitation through appropriate channels, if/when the decision to continue is made. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. Whatever information is provided in response to this RFI will be used to assess tradeoffs and alternatives available for determining how to proceed with the acquisition process for the production of the PNVC BBK. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Questions for this RFI will be due to the email address identified below No Later Than (NLT) 15 March 2013, at 5:00 P.M Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The resulting vendor submission should be a technically sound response. Firms who wish to respond to this RFI should send responses via email NLT 1 April 2013 at 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The response should not exceed a 5 MB e-mail limit for all items associated with the RFI response.
