- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled 'Space Launch Systems Core Stage Engine Production Restart' which was posted on March 13, 2013. You are notified that no changes are made to the requirement content previously requested. Respondents shall respond to the technical requirements identified in the original Request for Information (RFI) synopsis. The due date for responses is extended to April 10, 2013 no later than 4:30 p.m. Central Time, via e-mail to the primary Contracting Officer identified herein (cc: to the secondary point of contact also). This synopsis is for information and acquisition planning purposes and is not be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Submissions will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not the required capability is currently available and if the procurement may be conducted on a competitive or non-competitive basis. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/pub_library/Omb.html. A determination by the Government to procure this requirement, based upon responses to this notice or other market research, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. As stipulated in FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This RFI is subject to FAR concerning limitations on export controlled items. If a solicitation or any other document related to this procurement is released, it will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/MSFC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=62. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the potential release of a solicitation. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this synopsis or if released, any future solicitation documents.
