Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source Contract The SRCO (Southern Regional Contracting Office), on or about, 15 APRIL 2013, intends to issue a sole source purchase order for the Interventional Radiology Clinic, Brooke Army Medical Center in order to purchase a Nanoknife System. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Salient Characteristics: The surgical ablation generator must be powered by a normal 110Volt power source. The surgical ablation generator must be compatible to disposable probes which implements technology known as irreversible electroporation. The surgical ablation generator must come with a five lead system to sync the pulses delivered from the generator to the patient. The surgical ablation generator must a have carbon nanotube-based prototype compression cutting tool intended for sectioning of biological cells. The surgical ablation generator and probes must have the ability to be effective on small tumors, typically less than five centimeters. The surgical ablation probes must use irreversible electroporation technology to precisely target and kill hard-to-reach tumors at the cellular level. The surgical ablation generator must be used for both primary tumors or for tumors that have metastasized or spread to other parts or organs of the body. The surgical ablation generator must have the technology that applies a series of quick bursts of electrical energy through electrodes that are inserted directly into and around the tumor and destroy it while leaving the surrounding tissue, veins, nerves and ducts unaffected INTERESTED PARTIES NEED TO RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE ON OR BEFORE 01 APRIL 2013, 3:00 P.M.
