Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB)solicitation for the construction of a Water Supply Treatment Building located at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. This will be a 1,372 square foot facility that provides for general Ultraviolet Irradiation disinfection treatment and electrical equipment. The building will provide capability to support a future emergency generator. The project also includes associated site work and underground piping to be constructed between the UV Building and the existing filter effluent piping. This acquisition is a100% Small Business Set-Aside and will be issued as an invitation for bids (IFB) which will result in the award of a single firm fixed price (FFP) construction contract. North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this acquisition is 236220. Small Business size standard for this project is: $33,500,000. The solicitation will be available on or about 10 April 2013. In accordance with FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the estimated the magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The estimated performance period for completion of construction is 270 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). The government will accept proposal from all offerors that qualify under NAICS code is 236220. This announcement serves as the advance notice for this project. A Bid bond will be required with your proposal in the amount of 20% of the offeror proposed price or $3,000,000.00 whichever is less. Payment and Performance bonds will be required for the full amount (100%) of the awarded contract before the Notice to Proceed can be issued. VETS-100 Requirement: Per the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 22.1303 all offerors must complete their VETS-100 report via the Department of Labor website at https://vets100.vets.dol.gov/ to be eligible for award.
