Description

The VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with MTS Medication Technologies. The proposed contract action is for a multi-medication adherence packaging system, OnDemand 400 for RxMap with accessories. Key System Features and Processes "Consolidates patient labeling for prescription and medication identification "Includes tamper-evident sealing for safe and secure in-home use "Provides individual blister cavity labeling with medication information for each period of administration "Uses a seven by four matrix style blister card designed to hold a one-week supply of up to 15 oral solid tablets or capsules This sole source action is in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer for consideration. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements. Responses are due by April 1, 2013 at 3:00 PM. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses must be e-mailed to gary.basile@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. No reimbursement for any costs associated with providing capability statements will be provided by the Government.
